Mrs. Sarah Tembedza, affectionately known as Mrs. T the Coach, embodies resilience, compassion, and transformative leadership. Her journey — from a humble bank clerk to a respected director and co-founder of a thriving enterprise — is an inspiring testament to faith, perseverance, and purpose.
With over 30 years of experience in people management and business development, Sarah has built a remarkable career while touching countless lives along the way.
As a young girl, Sarah dreamt of becoming a doctor. But at age 15, after witnessing her father’s struggle with illness and the demanding life of medical professionals, she shifted her dream.
“I realized early on that while I admired doctors, I didn’t want a life consumed by work alone. I wanted to serve people differently,” she reflects.
That defining moment set her on a new path — one that led her to leadership, business, and coaching. Inspired by the strength and wisdom of her mother and grandmother, and guided by mentors such as Laura Gwatiringa, Farai Mpofu, Benefit Washaya, and Cynthia Malaba, Sarah developed a leadership philosophy grounded in service and perseverance.
Her rise through the banking world — from clerk to director — is a story of grit and grace.
“Leadership is never easy, but with God, family, and a strong support system, I’ve learned to thrive even in the toughest seasons,” she says.
Today, Sarah is a dynamic entrepreneur, life and business coach, lay preacher, and Rotarian. She has held senior management roles in several banks and now leads Padsor Enterprises, a family-owned business specializing in construction, scaffolding hire, and people development.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Management (MLM), multiple Human Resources and Training qualifications, and is an Honorary Member of the Retail Banking Academy (UK). She is also an alumna of the British Council Interaction Leadership Programme (Pan-Africa), a Certified Customer Service Strategist (Service Quality Institute, USA), and serves as Regional Representative of the Institute for Southern Africa.
Deeply passionate about Africa’s development, Sarah invests her time and expertise in uplifting communities, particularly underprivileged youth. She co-founded Destiny Helpers Trust alongside Mrs. Violet Jonga and Nyasha Tembedza, mentoring young people to unlock their potential and purpose.
Her leadership extends beyond business into community service. Sarah currently serves on the boards of:
MCZ: Isdell Flowers (USA) Malaria Elimination Initiative
Malaria Partners Zimbabwe
Resthaven Retreat
Destiny Helpers Trust
She has also previously served on boards including Ardent Incorporated, Young Women Leadership in Africa (YWLA), Perfect Soft Skills, Child Resource Institute, United Theological College, and the Methodist Church of Zimbabwe.
Sarah’s dedication has earned her recognition on global platforms — named among the 101 Iconic Global Coaches (2023), awarded ICMF Youth Coach of the Year (2023), and celebrated as one of Zimbabwe’s Top 50 Inspirational Women (2024).
Looking ahead, she envisions a legacy of impact — transforming lives through coaching, expanding Padsor Enterprises, and inspiring others to rise into their fullest potential.
For Mrs. T, true success is not measured by titles, but by the lives you touch along the way.
